Great leadership has a ripple effect through the community. At the University of Melbourne, the well-rounded, skillful and passionate graduates are stepping up and making a positive impact around the globe.
To inspire so many movers-and-shakers, however, takes an army of incredible people working behind the scenes. It’s these unsung heroes who work in Building 199 that Steve Patsavouras from Construct Data and Electrical Services, Six Degrees Architects, and AECOM, chose to illuminate with mLight’s Kleo and Pico LED.
When rousing greatness, comfort is a must and it was important that the lights above didn’t provide an annoying distraction. For this, we knew our mLight Kleo LED’s with low glare louvres is perfect to provide soft but effective task light that won’t distract your eyes from the project at hand.
Finding a space saving solutions to illuminate a darkened hallway can be challenging. The design of Building 199, however, has been cleverly done with a mix of partitions and natural wood slats allowing the natural light to flow through. Because of this, mLight’s slim-sized Pico LED mounted to the ceiling was the perfect top-up solution to brighten up the hallways on those cloudy days.
“mLight have always been a delight to work with,” Steve from Construct Data and Electrical Services tells us. Steve recommends mLight to his clients and fellow Electrical companies – “they’ve always gone above and beyond to meet programs and deliver on time.”
Currently only some of the levels in Building 199 are complete, with some still to be refurbished. The team at mLight are looking forward to working with Steve, Six Degrees Architects, and AECOM, to continue to shed light on the professionals at the University of Melbourne while they work to create the next generation of leaders.
