Star of the Sea Girls College in Brighton provided us with the opportunity to showcase the qualities of one of our top selling products: the Kleo LED Luminaire.
Not only did we need to provide a solution that was efficient, top quality and easy to maintain, but also took the requirements of the space into account. Comfortable lighting in a school is a top priority, as research has shown that prolonged exposure to poor lighting can have adverse effects on students’ health.
The Kleo was the obvious choice, as we were able to customise it to suit the projects needs and reduce glare while maintaining its efficiency.
On top of using the Kleo LED, our clients, Hayball Architects and Simpson Kotzman Consulting Engineers, wanted a fitting that complimented the project. In the refurbished East Wing of the college, the Kleo was suspended between the ceiling panels, blending in with the aesthetics of the space and becoming a feature of the ceiling itself.
The results were spectacular: a visually stunning installation that also provides ideal light levels for a practical learning environment.
Providing uniformity both aesthetically and light distibution, the Kleo has the ability to become a feature or blend into the architecture of lit spaces.
