The Bowen Hills Medical Specialist Centre recently won at the Master Builders Queensland Brisbane Housing and Construction Awards for Health Facilties up to $20 million. The Queensland X-Ray Tenancy, as part of this centre, provided Philips Smith Conwell with unique design opportunities, allowing for new ways to consider the way medical facilities look and feel.
The proposal for the lighting scheme was well-received by the client, and between the architect and our Product Consultant, Bryce, the outcome was eventually realised and put into action. The Swerve 76 ring pendants that draw your eyes in the waiting room are complimented with the use of our Nano indirectly lighting the ceiling; this sense of space is immediately felt when you enter. To showcase the natural heights of the internal architecture, the Kleo product was mounted on the walls to provide the necessary corridor lighting, whilst maintaining the grandness of the interior.
